Franklin-1
1954 American LaFrance Model 775PJO Pumper

This truck was originally owned by the Franklin, MA Fire Department and was in service there for 33 years. The engine was retired in 1984 when the department purchased a new engine. The engine was traded in to the dealer and we purchased it from them. During the time we have owned the engine it has seen active service on several occations for several months at a time. Franklin-1 is now enjoying full retirement. We have done our best to equip the engine completely with equipment that is appropriate for the vintage of the truck. Franklin-1 also still sports its original paint. Fortunately no major modifications were made to the engine during the its 30+ years of active service as is common for any piece of equipment that has been in service for that many years.
